The Molasses Festival is an important part of our community. Our Middle School students set up booths from all around the globe as part of their Project Based Learning Program. We wanted to show our students that learning doesn't only have to happen in the classroom. The elementary students took turns stopping by learning about different cultures and heritages. They visited the exhibits that included homegrown fruits and vegetables(canned), quilts, woodwork, photography, and artwork from all ages. They browsed the store for items to purchase and/or could play carnival games. They learned things from bee keeping, crocheting, making butter, molasses making, goat milking, making thread from wool, and so much more.
