Santa’s Workshop starts next week! The elves have been very busy! Each item is numbered and the gifts are already wrapped! Students will have the chance to shop each day! So please help your little ones make out a shopping list and send with them on Monday. Happy Shopping!! 🎄
Good afternoon, We would like to invite everyone to come join us at the Calhoun Middle/High School on December 20th from 4pm-6pm in the commons area for some Christmas magic. Bring your little or big ones to come see Santa and tell him what they would like this year for Christmas. Make sure to wear your comfiest pajamas and bring an empty belly so that you can thoroughly enjoy some pancakes, crepes and hot chocolate. Enjoy some live music, while decorating an ornament for your tree. We will also be handing out books, basic needs supplies and have vendors set up as well. We look forward to seeing everyone with smiling faces and spreading Christmas cheer. Tuesday 11/29 at Calhoun FRN 11a.m.-12p.m.
Thursday 1/1 at Pleasant Hill 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

Arnoldsburg Elementary School will have chicken drum sticks for our Thanksgiving Dinner at school this year due to a turkey shortage and a desire to ration for Christmas dinner. We are so excited to see everyone out tomorrow and as always thank you for your support of AES! 🐝

Congratulations to our 3rd graders!
Our 3rd grade Red Devils won the I-Ready Math Challenge for the month of October. They had 100% participation and 100% of their lessons passed.
Save the Children has an opportunity for children and families in Calhoun County! We offer weekly Parent Child Groups at Pleasant Hill Elementary School, Arnoldsburg Elementary School and 2 other sites throughout the county. The focus of these groups will be Kindergarten Readiness Skills for children 3 to 5 years old, but all younger siblings are also welcomed to attend. Snacks will also be provided! One lucky parent/caregiver will win a small door prize.
During the weekly Parent Child Groups, we will be exploring the following Language, Literacy and Math Kindergarten Readiness skill areas: Knowing about the alphabet, books and print; talking and listening; understanding words and sounds; numbers, counting, patterns, sorting and classification; comparison, measurement and geometry. These are all critical skills that your child needs in order to be prepared for Preschool and Kindergarten. I look forward to meeting you and helping prepare your child for school success!
