CMHS weekly Athletic Schedule!

The levy will fund a Prevention Resource Officer for the county, enhancing security in our school and providing valuable support to staff. We’re proud of our amazing police department here in Calhoun, and this will allow us to have an officer dedicated specifically to the school system. Their presence will strengthen the safety and security of both students and staff. Additionally, the officer will be able to assist with educational components in our classes, further enriching our school environment.

We all know how essential school nurses are to the well-being of our students and staff. Our current school nurse plays a crucial role in the daily routine—whether it's caring for sick students, assisting staff, or handling emergencies. The School Levy would allow us to hire an additional nurse to float between Pleasant Hill Elementary and Arnoldsburg Elementary. This would greatly benefit both students and staff across the county.

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES!
We have one opening for HOBY!
Students across the country and around the world attend HOBY to further their leadership journeys. By attending our seminars, students gain a concrete sense of their own leadership abilities and values, learn tangible skills to lead diverse groups, and make connections with peers across their state. HOBY Youth Leadership programs encourage young people to focus their energy on making a positive impact on their communities. At HOBY, you become part of something bigger.
If you are interested, write an essay on "What Leadership Means to Me" and submit to Ms. Sampson by November 6, 2024.

CMHS Revised Athletic Schedule for the week!

Next Week our Middle & High School students will be participating in the Keepers of Life Recognize Respond REACH Program for their annual Suicide Prevention education.
The students will learn how to learn how to have a safe, honest and meaningful conversation about mental health & preventing suicide. This will be done on an age appropriate level with language rooted in evidence, based on national best practice guidelines, as a result of Jamie’s Law in an effort to save lives being lost to suicide. Parent/Guardians: Be on the lookout for the informational component your student will bring home of how you can continue this conversation within your family.
