Yesterday, SummerBoost had the pleasure of hosting Tabitha Mays from Mountaineer Food Bank and Bruce Lloyd from the WVU Extension Office in Lewis County. Bruce did an agriculture lesson with students and discussed how seeds transform into fruits and vegetables. Students learned to identify different types of seeds and listened to how to help a seed grow. Tabitha brought fresh produce for the students to take home for their families; students received pears, green tomatoes, lettuce, and zucchini. They did a wonderful presentation to all that were involved in the life cycle of baring plants. We would like to thank Tabitha, the Mountaineer Food Bank, and Bruce for coming and for the yummy produce!
