Preschool & Kindergarten Enrollment Enrollment Information Calhoun County Universal Preschool now has enrollment packets available for parents to get children enrolled in Pre-K for the 2024-2025 school year. Enrollment packets may be picked up at Arnoldsburg Elementary, Pleasant Hill Elementary, or Calhoun County Board of Education during school hours. The registration fairs are held to assist families in getting the necessary documentation for starting school. We will conduct developmental, hearing, vision, and dental screenings at the event. All children who are 4 years old before July 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for enrollment in Pre-school. All children who are 5 years old before July 1, 2024, are enrolled in Kindergarten. Calhoun County Schools will be conducting Pre-Registration on the following dates: Friday, April 12th, 2024, at Calhoun County Middle High School from 8 am-2:30 PM Friday, April 19th, 2024, at Calhoun County Middle High School from 8 am- 12:30 PM Please call Sierra McCormick at 304-354-6022 ext. 402 or Jackie Allen at 304-655-8616 ext. 110 to schedule an appointment. If School is canceled, registration will be rescheduled for April 26th at CCMHS maintaining scheduled appointment times. All children applying for preschool must have the following documents before the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Certified Birth Certificate (Vital Statistics Certificate from Charleston only) Immunization Record Preventative Health Screen with dental check and hemoglobin test (available through your physician) Pre-K Universal Application Proof of Income (W2, 1040, or proof of Government Assistance) Completed preschool packets are due by the date of the registration fairs. Any child; from birth to three, thought to have developmental delays, is also eligible to be screened for possible services. HEALTH CARE PATHWAY INITIATIVE: Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine sponsors the Health Care Pathway Initiative (HPIC) program for high school students entering Grades 8-12. HPIC allows high school students to learn about careers in health care, engineering, technology, and science during a summer camp on Marshall University's Huntington campus.
